...& that's why I totally forgot about my planned run!

Baby bananas/Oreo Cookie & Cream came over today morning=D B2 had been begging me for a raspberry cheesecake for the longest time! So I decided to surprise both B2 & B3 with my very own Raspberry Oreo cake yesterday morning. Yeah, I topped it up a notch  with the oreo to symbolise us;) A little Christmas prezzie for my darlings <3 Above is my masterpiece. Below is my very own recipe for it  NO BAKE, & easily done:) ..
[9" by 9" pan]
Base:
-> ~3 handfuls crushed mini oreo cookies
-> 4 tbsp melted butter

Filling:
-> 8 oz.(1 cup/16tbsp) Philledelphia Cream Cheese - half 60% less fat and the other half 80% less fat*
-> 3/4 cup brown sugar**
-> Half/ quartered mini oreos(I didn't count how many I used), with raspberry jam(the one where the seeds can be seen) spreaded inside
-> 1 cuppa whipped cream

Directions:
Mix the crushed cookies with the butter till it form a slightly sticky texture which holds together and doesnt break apart very easily. Then , spread it along the base of your pan. After you're done, put it the the freezer. Next, whip the whipped cream till it forms peaks, then refrigerate. Following that, whip the cream cheese till soft and slides off your spoon with ease when held up. Add in the sugar and mix well. Then, fold in the oreos. Remove the whipped cream from the fridge and fold into the mixture. Next, remove the base from the freezer and pour in the mixture. Add drops of raspberry jam all over and swirl into the cheesy mixture. For decorative purposes, spread raspberry jam in between 7 mini oreos and place on top of the cheesecake at desired places, together with sprinkles of crushed oreo bits and drops of raspberry jam. Finally, put in into the freezer for a couple o' hours and take it out abt 5 min before serving. TADA~~~~~~~ ;D

I was so glad that Baby bananas LOVED it, and finished a little more than half the cake all by themselves=D

Moving on, Ah Gwan Mee pok! The most innovative mee pok i've seen yet, with added clams, pork liver, sliced fish, and even crayfish!, something different from the usual with only minced pork, prawns and lard. Everything are fresh ingredients except for the frozen clams. I got it off the papers and told dad about it immediately. Its his favourite dish:) So we went there for dinner last night. To be honest, i've tasted better, and the noodles didnt taste very out-of-the-ordinary. What I like about it was the variety of ingredients inside, and the fact that unlike many i've tried, this wasn't too oily, so it didnt produce the uncomfortable greasy-afterfeeling. The $3 version gives you the usual I had the $7 one(above) which had the first 3 ingredients above, with an additional 2 pieces of crayfish. I <3 crayfish:) Dad took the same, and I shared with him a bowl of dumpling soup as well. Mom had the $3 version, which had the first 3 ingredients above. The $4 bowl would give you a slightly bigger bowl than the $3. The $5 bottle would give you the $4 plus extra slices fish. Mee pok tah and porridge are their specialities, with a couple of side dishes available besides these too. Click HERE for views from the Makansutra Forums!
-Over & Out-

*You could use full fat, or any kind of cream cheese you like. Philledelphia is my trusted brand tho'.
**You could use white caster sugar too, but I chose brown for a healthier choice as it contains molasses and nutrients unavailable in the customary white version. It's the only kind of sugar I have in my household anyway, besides fructose. I feel h/w, that brown sugar gives food a more defined flavour; healthier AND tastier! The price is slightly higher though.

'Tis the season to be jolly ~!=D

A VEVEVEVEVEVEVEVEVEEEEEERY BLESSED CHRISTMAS EVERYONE !!! With the over-indulgence and over-commercialising of this festive occasion, I hope you do acknowledge the fact that Christmas, and not 'X'mas', signifies the birth of Christ and without Him, there would be no celebration. So give thanks and praise Him, Christians & Non-Christians, and pls do not 'X'-out the 'Christ' in Christmas with an 'X'mas':)

Well, with all that said, I can't deny the fact that it is during this festive season that many of us including myself would be using this joyous season as an excuse to consume a little extra. What's more satisfying than a satisfied tummy:) For me at least.... After the Midnight Eucharist at church, at the wee hours of the 1st day of Christmas, daddy mummy and I went to the famous Newton foodcentre, a famous local foodcentre where most foreigners who visit are sure to dine at, for 'supper'. I was kinda disappointed 'cos the fish salad popiah i always order there was OUT OF STOCK !X( The last time I had that was on New Year's, '09:) But perhaps it was a blessing in disguise, as it gave me the opportunity to try other stuff we never had in the past. So was the hokkien mee my dad wanted. We ordered Sambal Petai fried rice, sambal stingray, XO noodles, Chinese rojak, and sugarcane juice(all, above). Newton is known, apparently, for their seafood(just like East Coast Lagoon), especially their Chilli crab, which many people complain of overcharge however, their charkway teow, fried carrot cake, oyster omelette, and a couple of other stuff. Perhaps we'll give the chilli crab a try in time to come. We had the other 3 dishes on New Year's this year. I'm not really a huge fan of them so I'm not really in the position to comment much about its comparison with other outlets in S'pore, but my dad says it wasn't really anything out of the ordinary. It was alright:) What I like is the popiah as there are a variety of different kinds available; the usual, egg-skin popiah, fish salad popiah, and ice-cream popiah(with choc chip, mint, strawberry and vanilla, availbale)! eggskin: the popiah skin is basically mafe of a batter which has eggs added, which gives it the slightly eggy taste, is slightly more chewy and has a yellowish colour, unlike the usual. fish salad popiah: this is made the traditional way, with the addition of slice battered fish fillet and coleslaw. Ice cream popiah is basically square scoops of ice-cream wrapped in popiah skin, which HAS to be eaten fast if you don't wanna be just consuming sweetened soggy popiah skin=/
The XO noodles was alright. Its a varitaion form the usual mee pok, with a dollop of XO sauce on top, which adds a nice enhancing flavour to the noodles.
The sambal stingray was good too. Well I love sambal stingray. But I have to say ... i THINK the one at the Lagoon is a little better. Or maybe I'm just being biased cos the first 'real deal' I tried was form there ...I'm not sure! Perhaps I gotta have 'em side by side to compare on the spot.
The rojak was pretty normal. Being the first dish to arrive, I wolluped it. Hungry as hell, I could've eaten a .......like 3 buffets !!!! But it was nothing to shout about.
Petai fried rice was something i'd never tried before. I don't think i've even tried petai before! Apparently its good for diabetics, but makes your pee stink =X and has a slightly bitter taste ...fried together with a rice though and combined with the spice, it neutralised the bitterness. My mom didn't really like how the rice was cooked though, with round sliced pieces of petai about the size of your thumb, She claims it should be grinded together with the sambal chilli. For me however, I liked the nutty taste it added. I felt it enhanced the flavour of the food like that. The homemade chilli was nice and spicy, although I could certaintly have tolerated spicer xD therefore I went back to ask for more and the owner of the stall, whose made made the sambal, was more than glad to give me more after receiving my compliments:)
So that was it. We went back home and collapsed on the bed to get ready for the eventful day ahead, more fun laughter presents and most importantly FOOOOOD, after prayers and fellowship h/w^^

So we went to Kala's for a late lunch. Roast turkey, bruselsprouts and chestnut, ayam merah, briyani, AMAZING baby-back ham and BBQ pork ribs, roast beef, chicken curry, mutton, some mixed vege stuff, and for dessert- Chocolate fudge log cake<3333333, Malaccan pineapple tarts, magnum, and some other bites. Mmmmmmmm ....(all, above).
Everythings was great, except for rumours that the steamed brusselsprout-chestnut dish was a little undercooked. The turkey was roasted by my cousin herself, along with Anisha. Soft and tender, a well meted out Jamie Oliver recipe indeed, with an indian touch;) Jamie's the best of the best, SERIOUSLY. You GOT to check him out, the great recipes he's invented. The dude can cook up an unforgettable meal on the spot using whatever he's got from his kitchen. If that's not awesome, nothing is. Alright, I'm talkin like i've met the guy already. Hah, I WISH. Anyways, Ribs were awesome, my all-time favourite. Best i've ever tried, seriously. I took some home and had it for brunch today=S YUMYUMMM!!! I didn't manage to get a snap of that though.
Next house was Shaleen's granny's. Food there was just alright. All the Indian stuff, from Raju's Curry. I didn't devour like at Kala's as I was still rather filled from that! Plus I'd heard there was more coming up when we went back to Kala's later on.
When we returned to Kala's for supper, there waiting on a table was a simple lookin chocolate pie, from Ikea. I took the first bite however, and my eyes glistened open. My mom who never really fancied sweet stuff, finished up a quarter of the pie! The bits of almond(pronounced as ah-mond btw), complimented the dark chocolate coating really well, and the spongey layers in between, together with the layer of chocolate cream in the middle, added a surprisingly soft touch to the crisp of the base and the top.
Well, that's it for the 1st day of Christmas. Nothin much today. I'm going for famous Toh Payoh crayfish mee pok with my parents tmr though. Can't wait! I'm guessing its gonna be worth a recommendation from what I saw from the papers. See you guys tmr then !~ On Once again, Blessed Christmas to all! HOHOHO 8-D

MA COCOA LOVE<3333333

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK I HAD THE CHOCLATE MUFFIN FROM THE TAKA FOOD MALL AT LE GRENIER A PAIN TODAY IT WAS ZZZOMGGGGGG <3xINFINITY. It's called Fondant muffin! As I described it in my previous post, a lava chocolate muffn with a chocolate ganache filling. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm sensational, I say!~ The sweet-smelling whiff of the irresistable dark dark brown goodness drew me closer and closer, and my eyes rolled back in peaked satisfaction, as I sunk my teeth impatiently into the freshly toasted crunchy coating of the slighly fudgy cocooa-ness. A burst of warm goodness oozed into my already-moistened, anticipating, crater. I moved my jaws slowly, but surely, not wanting the goodness to be gone too quickly. As my teeth clamped down on the indescribable, I knew right at that moment... It was a taste I would never, ever, wanna liberate from my mouth. I wished it could last forever... but then again, 'all good things must come to an end'. Right'o ? That's life. After a few minutes, the end-point arrived. It was almost like...... doomsday. I licked off the last bits and crumbs of the ...of the ....t ...t... th... the .......*fantasizes all over again*
...alright, maybe i'm over-emphasizing it a little.. just, a liiiittle.:) but yeeeeap, it was good alright;) worth the $4.80, hell yeah baby. I'm gonna try re-enacting it on my own;
***A TIP for y'all who'd like to try it out ..prepare it like how you would do a normal chocolate muffin. Perhaps make it a little fudgy IF you like, by adding melted butter into the batter instead of creaming the butter in, and not stirring too much; just till everything's combined just right. I love my chocolate muffins/brownies fudgy=D And then , when you pop it into the oven, don't bake it the usual 20-25min you usually would. 9-12min should be sufficient, for it to be dry and normal-looking on the outside, and oozing with thick liquidy divinity when broken into, depending in the size and surface area of the muffin/brownie. If you fancy a slightly flaky, crunchy topping, how i'd like mine done, set the oven to be about 15-20 degrees higher then the actual temperature you want it to be baked at. Set your oven for around 10min. About 27sec after popping your masterpiece in, turn it down to the required temperature. INDULGE IMMEDIATELY UPON REMOVAL FROM OVEN. Of course, let it cool for a few min, till it is at the temperature your tongue is able to handle. This HAS to be consumed warm/hot, for maximum oral pleasure, and is deliciously when complemented with a scoop or two of cold ice-cream. ^.^ Vanilla/butterscotch would be a great choice ! Chocolate ice-cream with chocolate cake, I wouldn't suggest that though. It'll just spoil the whole thing. It may be TOO much.. You gotta have a balance. Well, individual's choice:) Just rmb one thing ....ENJOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYY~~~

P.S. D BEST brownie in Singapore, srsly, 'P.osh' brownies. Sole outlet available at Dhoby Ghaut Xchange, samples available=)) A variety of topping flavours are available such as peanut butter& dark choc, peanut butter&jelly, strawberry&chocolate, mint, white chocolate, toasted marshmallows... and many more! Log cakes currently available for the Christmas period. Sounds good, pretty much like how the above fondant muffin is; a brownie log cake with chocolate ganache filling. One slice will NEVER be enough. DO check it out, once again I assure all cocoa lovers out there, NO REGRETS. Sue me otherwise;)

A Food Affair<33

Todaaaaaaay i went to school... did my stuff... got back home... and hopped on to my lappie. So here I am again... HAH! NO WAY. Too mundane for Le Gluttone. Well I met Nat after school, and we went to Takashimayaaaa! You know that food hall on the right of Auntie Anne's (btw, I <3 Auntie Anne's!)? Another food haven, I swear. I think I I may have mentioned another haven in some other post but yeah... still! So yup we spent some time there. Loved the free samples they were giving out at almost every store^^ from yoghurt, to cookies, to chocolates, to tarts, nuts, and all sorts o' stuff! Gosh, i'm a real sucker for those goodies. Aaaaahh, ample samples gimme dimples, oh dear those pimples....................... LOL. Okay, ignore, i'm still on Cloud 9(the chocolate brand). Besides the samples, we shared a $15 box of Royce's Chocolates. It was the first thing we bought! Its called ROYCE' POTECHI CRUNCH CHOCOLATE(above). That's balls in a mix of chocolate and crumbed pototo chips. Upon purchase, we couldnt resist but to have a ball each immediately. A lil' on the salty side, but obviously right? Chips, whaddaya expect. 1 bag of 'em, the sodium level in your body sky-rockets instantly. Ha! It had a really unique taste though, very unusual, and I liked it. So did he:) The 2 complemented each other in the wierdest way! We managed to tahan the urge to grab another ball, to save our tummy's for more pleasures to come. Shamelessly, we went from store to store grabbing samples and then running away to hide our faces. Greed is bliss. Then we got Venezia ice-cream! *droooooooooooolzzzzzz* 2scoops: Dark Chocolate/Cherry Garcia(above). yummmmmmmmmmm=p It was a tough choice though, with the range of choices; kinda lazy to type 'em out, but its a pretty popular parlour, you should know:) the last thing we got from the food hall was a pack of petites fougasses(signature french bread with sweet/savoury fillings(above). One filled with Belgium chocolate, another with curry chicken, another with bacon & cheese, and the last, with sausage & cheese.(in order of which we ate first:D). This was from a shop towards the end of the hall, 'Le Grenier a(with a stroke on top) Pain'. They sold this orgasmic-looking muffin too, a lava chocolate muffin fille with chocolate ganache. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm just thinking of it makes be drool, as in seriously(wipes river from chin). That, i'm gonna get with Baby Banana 2 tmr(sincere condolences to Baby Banana 3 whose really sick right now=/). Manages to pull of the urge to get that muffin today; success once again! I'll tell you how it is then:) Look forward to a really loooooong description. Next, we went to ION to check out the shops there. Market Place.. my all-time favourite supermarket! It puts NTUC/Cold Storage to utter shame=( Then we dinnered at the Food Opera at the basement and enjoyed an nice spicy $9.30(WTH, i know right?!) nasi padang(above) from the Muslim stall, Padang. Kind of a rip-off, don'cha think? But I must admit, the dishes were pretty good, oif not there wouldn't be such a long queue as the one we saw. Well that was the last of the pleasures we enjoyed today. Once again, I had to resist the mouth-watering-looking shope along the way to the MRT. Marvellous Cream looked like heaven. I've been spending waaaaayy too much recently! ..Maybe...tmr=D .. Thanks to Nat, or else I'd have had a hole in my pocket by now. Brisk-walked home after catching up with Hemant & Aliff for a little while at Tampines. Some exercise after all that indulgence:) See you soon again guys, toodles!
Btw, Hokkaido Ice cream is pretty good too, if you're looking for something low fat, on the healthier side. They've got some interesting savoury/sweet crepes too, with toppings! ALL at the food hall. There's another shop which sells crepes, Tokyo Crepe Girl(above), and a burger outler, R Burger(above). I've sworn to have a taste of these 2 on my next visit, or perhaps the next next one. PLEASE CHECK 'EM OUT, ALL my recommendations. No regrets, you got to trust me... trust me on that;) heh~
Edited: Sorry dearies, I forgot to mention one of the coolest things I've ever heard of... a NASI LEMAK cookie! It's available at the food hall at Taka. Sadly they ran outta samples today but Nat claims they were delicious! I think I can trust him.. hope there'll be some tmr xD 'Cos 1 box for $40, no way. I'll stick to sampling for now:)

Tomorrow is MIIINNE =D

I was just watching Jamie's American Road Trip on Discovery Travel & Living. It broascasted Jamie in NY, 'shunning the glamour of Manhattan to discover an underground gastronomic subculture run by the Big Apple's most colourful culinary personalities!' A dish that caught my attention was Dang Dang Mian(above), which Jamie tried at a Chinese restaurant there. A traditional Chinese dish, so simple yet flavourful and savoured by many! The ingredients used at Jamie's place of visit was soft white la mian noodles, which were handmade right from scratch, soya sauce, chopped scallions, some chicken powder thingy, freshly crushed Sze Chuan peppers, homemade chilli oil(i think peanut oil or sesame oil would be a preferance), and last but definitely not least, minced pork. After some research, i found there there are variations available for this dish, such as the addition of Chinese sesame paste/ finely chopped garlic & ginger, chic/veg. stock. Apparently in some recipes, egg noodles/whole wheat noodles are used instead of the traditional la mian, and whole Sze Chuan peppercorns could be used instead of the crushed ones, all these according to one's individual taste. I've decided to try out this dish for dinner tmr night, so I told my mom not to cook. Gosh, I really hope it turns out well, and is even edible in the first place!!=0 I'm pretty excited already:):):)

=FUN FACTS=
According to the research I did on Dang Dang Mian, it is also known as 'over the shoulder noodles' because of street vendors who served the dish, from their portable kitchen, dangling off a stick balanced on their shoulders.

Alright, bedtime for me. Good night all!^^

18/12 (II)

 After ice cream, we toured Illuma for more eateries which seem worth the try, for our next visit. As we were walking, my hunger pangs started developing(AGAIN). I craved somthing savoury after that overwhelming sweetness in my palate. I can't remember the name of the restaurant but it is located right besideMarble Slab Creamery. You wouldn't miss it. The Mini Oriental Burgers on the menu caught my eye, and it was only $4.50!! They were served in sets of 3(above). Just the right price and right amount for a craving. I convinced Nat to eat again and share the meal with me. I dragged him inside and we placed the order. We chose garlic mantou buns for the burger buns(out of steamed/fried/garlic), and battered fish fillet, crispy lean pork and black pepper beef for the respective fillings. The burgers were unique. The mantou buns gave it an exquisite taste as compared to the usual sesame buns. The crispy pork was up to satisfaction. The dory fish was a little tough, but the batter was just right; crispy, and not too oily. We saved what we believed was the best for last; the black pepper beef burger. The doneness of the beef was well done, and the texture was pretty alright, not too tough, and rather juicy. The black pepper sauce wasn't over-powering and complemented the beef well. Overall, we were satisfied.:) We made a promise to each other to try the 7-Heaven triple decker delight at $47.77 which caught Nat's eye. It consisted of 7 mini oriental burgers, chicken wings, fries, chicken chipolatas, and a few other things which aren't coming to my mind right now. We called for the bill and left to continue our tour for a little while longer. We found another restaurant oppsite the ice cream haven, called The Mini Burger. Something from the menu which appealed to my palates was their 12-inch hotdog bun and 8-inch giant burger(definitely not as big as the New York New York one -which i will be displaying in one of my following posts- ), but still, it was considered MEGA to that outlet, and you know I love big stuff X). I vowed to purchase that on my next visit. After that we went to the first floor of Bugis Junction to look around. There's a really good little otak shop there selling various flavours of otak presented in many unique ways(on toast, wrappeed in a roll, baked in a scone, used as pie filling, etc.), and a muffin/chocolate shop which claims 'No Butter, Less Sugar' in their muffins, for health freaks out there. I would recommend these places and suggest you check 'em out. ;) trust my taste!

 The gluttons then left Bugis and went their seperate ways. I met my mom, cousin and nephew for dinner at Swensen's. The place of dining was suggested by me as there was a dish in the papers I was dying to try: Chilli Crab soup with Soft-Shell crab(above). Being a hardcore chilli crap lover, i knew i HAD to give it a try. As you can see above, the chilli crab soup was served in a breadbowl, with thousand island by the side as a dip for the soft-shell crab(but i mostly used the soup as a dip). The soft-shell crab was seasoned in black pepper. Overall, the dish wasn't anything to shout about. The soup was alright. It was nice, but could be spicier. My palates have a fetish for extreme spicyness, so don't blame me. It's consistency suited that of a soup, as it was too thick, which would then be more suited as a gravy for crab. The soft-shell crab was pretty merely average. It would have prefered more flesh, and a little more crumbly-ness and crispiness in the batter coating it, but then again for $16.80, you can't complain much. The breadbowl was quite good though; crispy and nicely browned on the outside, softened and moistened on the inside by the soup. The presentation though, I must say, is rather creative, one that ought to be commended.

Well, that's all for the day. I enjoyed it pretty much! Stay tuned for more to come... I've barely even started!;) Hasta la vista, babeh~

18/12 (I)

AHOY, MATEYZ! I'm back, as promised:) I've done my workout, burned those calories, and ever-ready to pop in more!

Well it's time to start proper now ...i'll start with my activities yesterday.

Dear Nattie introduced me to and A-W-E-SOME ice cream parlour ytd. It's located in a new mall at Bugis, Illuma. Marble Slab Creamery is the name of this haven. "Orgasmic", "Best ice creams i've ever tried", these were his descriptions. He always compares Singaporean food standards to that of America's, and it so happens that this is the first place which sells ice creams that are supposedly up to standard, according to him. I sat on the fence before i came to the place. As soon eyes my eyes met the parlour, my jaw-dropped. I began salivating as soon as i saw the various types of ice creams displayed. Wasting no time at all, we started sampling(my favourite hobby). I was at a loss for choice for which flavour to take. Almost everything stuck me like glue, on the glass protecting the ice creams. There was your old-fashioned strawberry and vanilla, but who goes to SUCH a place and takes those flavours, seriously? Then they were all sorts of unique flavours such as Chocolate Ameretti, Rocher, Double dark chocolate, Peanut Butter, Bubblegum, Birthday Cake, Black Walnut, Butter Pecan, Spiced Apple, and a couple more but these are all i can remember for now. Are your mouths watering already ??? Wait till you see the pictures... Anyway, since the both of us couldn't come to a decision(mainly I), we decided to go for the Earthquake thingy(above). That gives you 5 scoops of ice creams, one liquid topping and one mix-in, all for $16.80(trust me, it's worth every cent). Oh yeah, i forgot to mention the mix-ins! Mix-ins are ingredients you might want to add on which would be mixed into your scoop(s), for a additional charge of 90c/$1, I can't really recall. Anyways, there are many different kind of mix-ins too. Crushed peanut butter cups, Reese's puffs, Snicker bars, kit kat, m&ms, chocolate rice, chopped health bars, some cracker, walnuts, pecans, almonds, oreo cookies, marshmallows, and a lot more(P.S. Nat pls comment if you rmb anymore, thx!). The liquid toppings they have are hot fudge, hot caramel, and I can't rmb if there are anymore. The liquid toppings weren't actually hot h/w.. that was the ONLY disappointing thing, but pretty much negligable:). We took the Rocher, Black walnut, Birthday Cake, Spiced apple and Peanut Butter flavours, with the crushed peanut butter cups and 'hot' caramel topping. For our 5-in-1 choice h/w, the mix-ins are not actually mixed in, but just sprinkled on top ..so we just mixed 'em in as we indulged. Within minutes, we paid the money and rushed over to a comfortable seating, to devour our self-created lunch(Yup, ice cream for lunch. Awesome much yeah?). Upon taking the first spoon, my eyes glistened wide open, and looked opposite at Nat. He looked back at me, smiling triumphantly; another WAY-over-satisfactory recommendation. We both dug in like hungry little kids, our faces smeared all over with the sweet mess, leaving no trace in the big bowl. The waiter/waitress would probably have thought it was a clean bowl accidentaly put out! It was certaintly an orgasmic experience for my tastebuds, and I can't wait to return!!! We'll probably try the off-menu sets they have, on our next visit; the Cookie Dough and Apple Crumble thingys.

As we sat back with our bulging tummies protruding out, reflecting on the taste of sweet taste of heaven we just encountered, our eyes went to a family of 3 who just arrived at a table just in front of ours; a little boy, his mom and his maid. Set on their table were 2 cups of 1 scoop each, strawberry and vanilla. Strawberry had rainbow sprinkles, vanilla was plain. Nat and i looked at each other with mouths agaped, and this time it wasn't a good sign. We gritted our teeth simultaneously. The same thoughts ran thru' our minds. It was similar to what i mentioned at the earlier part of this post. 'How on earth could someone have the sense to come to such a top-notch ice cream parlour and order run-of-the-mill flavours such as those ?!?! $4.20 for a kiddy-sized cup which they ordered, meaning $8.40 for both, plus an additional charge for the rainbow sprinkles. If they really wanted strawberry and vanilla, why not just go to any other ordinary shop or those ice cream wagons on the streets ?? Only about $1 for one scoop, how much money they could have saved! Sheesh... Oh well. I really don't know what much to say about them. tsk ...(scene of family eating- above)

Soon, we got up and left the family to enjoy their delight. My following post will discuss what we did next. Coming right up, dudes & dudettes!

Ladies & Gentlemen! Presenting .....

PLEASURES OF THE TONGUE. Yes, you got that right -- what you see is what you get. For all you foodies out there, keep an eye over here. 'Cause this blog is gonna keep you updated on nothin' but food, food, and more FOOD. First, let me introduce myself ....
Priscilla's the name. Priscilla Anusha Prasad. I just turned 17 less than a month ago, and I'm still studying. I aim to go into the culinary industry in the future and excel to the best of my abilities, as far as my filthy hands could take me. Hopefully i could even go international and do my loved ones and myself proud. I believe that food isn't all about eating and enjoying the burst of flavours. It is also about inspiration. Good food can only be made with feelings and love and 'sweat' instilled in it. We can inspire people through the foods we present them with. I have always loved food, but my interest lit a brighter spark over a year ago. I'd venture all over to let my tastebuds explore new pleasures of various cuisines. I also love to cook! Lick my teeth and you may become an instant diabetic patient 'cause i'ma reeeeeaaal sweet-tooth. I also have eye for food with a unique mix of ingredients, and I worship MEGA burgers. Thus, I'll be sharing with you and recommnding good food I've tried from different places all over Singapore and perhaps overseas if I do get a chance to travel. I'll also be sharing with you tried and tested recipes which I've stolen or cooked up myself. Well well well, it's getting kinda late now, past midnight over here in Singapore, and I'm waking up at 7 for a detoxing morning run(seriously been over-indulging for the past .........nevermind). So i'm gonna call it a day here and start proper later on after i'm back from my run. See you guys soon! CHEERS=)
